Accessibility · our shared work

Access is part of
the experience.

I want this site to be usable by people with different ways of reading, navigating, listening, and understanding information.

What I have designed for

  • Clear headings, page titles, landmarks, and links
  • Keyboard operation and visible focus
  • Text that can resize and reflow on narrow screens
  • High-contrast colors and no color-only instructions
  • Meaningful alternatives for informative photographs
  • Native audio controls with a direct download option
  • Reduced motion when a visitor requests it

Accessibility is ongoing.

Standards and automated checks can help find problems; they cannot tell us everything about a real experience. I welcome reports about a barrier or a way to make this site clearer.

Email me about an accessibility issue.

Visitor count

The site visit count in the footer is provided by Hits through AllOrigins. The counter records at most one count per browser profile every 24 hours using local browser storage. It is not unique-person analytics; clearing storage or using another browser or device can count again. These services receive the counter request.

This site is a personal project and is not an official University of Arizona website.
